Verify contact data (Whois) for your domains

As of January 1st, 2014 ICANN requires that we ask you to review your domain contact data (Whois) and make any changes necessary. All gTLD domains need to be verified. This includes .com, .net,.info, .org, .biz, .name, .xxx , etc. domains.
This requirement does not apply for .eu and .bg domains.

Verification is required in the following cases:

  • New domain registration
  • Contact Data (Whois) change
  • Domain transfer

The following data needs to be verified:

  • First name
  • Last name
  • Email address

After registering a new domain or changing the contact data for an already registered domain, you will receive a verification email. The email is sent to the address specified for the Registrant contact. The message is sent only to the new address and requires confirmation by following the link.

There is no action required from the previous email address specified.

Verification is needed if the first and the last name or an email address of the Registrant are changed.

If the data is specified upon more than one domain, you only need to verify it once.

Important: The contact data verification must be done within 15 days. If the contact details are not confirmed within 15 days, the domain will be suspended.

The domain will be suspended by the Registrar by changing the DNS records.

If you have not met the required deadline and your domain is suspended, you need to open the verification email and follow the link. Your domain will be re-activated.

Those changes are part of the Registrar Accreditation Agreement. Further information is available on ICANN’s website.
